• Mountain Valley Community Bank will not ask you to submit personal or account Information via email.
• For your protection, any email sent form MVCB including customer service emails or email alerts will require that you successfully login to our secure website at www.MVCBank.com before entering any personal information.
• If you ever receive an email appearing to be from MVCB that asks for personal information such as your Account Number or Social Security Number, do not respond to the email. Please notify us immediately at 706-348-MVCB (6822)

Responding to E-Mail and Internet Related Fraudulent Schemes

The number one rule…don’t respond! Call or contact Mountain Valley Community Bank and let us know of the unusual email.

If you think you may be a victim of Identity Theft call…

• Local police to file an Affidavit of Fraud and contact US Secret Service. Get a copy of the police report.
• FTC’s Identity Theft Hotline toll-free at 1-877-438-4338
• The fraud department of one of the three major credit bureaus. Request that your account be flagged with a “victim alert.” The contacted bureau must alert the others.
• Equifax: 1-800-525-6285
• Experian: 1-800-397-3742
• Trans Union: 1-800-680-7289
